(contactmusic.com) "Hollywood star George Clooney has been named as a witness for the defence in the upcoming prostitution trial of Italian leader Silvio Berlusconi.
The Prime Minister is accused of paying teenage Moroccan hooker Karima el-Mahroug, aka Ruby, for sex - and then using his position to try and cover up the scandal. He has denied the charge.
Clooney was drawn into the criminal case after Ruby reported seeing the actor and his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis at one of the Berlusconi's parties last year (10).
According to a local newspaper report, Italian model/TV presenter Canalis recently spoke to prosecutors and denied attending any of the premier's events, but attorney Piersilvio Cipollotti insists he wants to hear the testimony for himself." - Well, right or wrong, it's impressive. George involved in such a case to help the PM out of so called pasticci... the problem is, that the PM could be blackmailed, and that's why Politicians shouldn't have nothing to hide amoung other aspects.
